In early years we have been working alongside the dry water team to enhance the children’s learning environment. The resources in the classes are now more opened ended, encouraging children to use the same resource in lots of different ways. Staff are regularly observing children and including children in evaluations of their environment to ensure that they are benefitting from the changes and making progress in their learning.
Visit the dry water website at www.drywater.org to find out more about their approach.
The children have also been engaging with our topic “I spy..” which is based on the children’s interests and so far we have explored friendship and what makes us different to our friends. We decided that if we were all the same it would be boring! We have enjoyed reading Elmer by David Mckee.
